Our church, Crosspoint Church of Clemson just started a new sermon series a couple of weeks ago called the Abolition of Religion. Its a study in Galatians and Pastor Ken has been bringing some powerful messages from it. Its been a great study about how we can so easily add things to the Gospel such as good works as if those can bring about our salvation but when we add stuff to the Gospel it is no longer the Gospel that Christ brought. This is the difference between Christianity and Religion. Religion is the different forms in which man tries to reach God, whether this is through knowledge or good works, and Christianity is how God came to man and provided the way of redemption. In the letter Paul is correcting the Galatians and reminding them that salvation is by the grace of God and is through putting faith in Christ. Its because of Christ's finished work on the cross that we can have peace and hope and rest in Him. This was a fun sermon logo to create. While we were still in darkness, Christ freed us from our shackles and chains and brings us into light. If you would like to listen to the sermons, click on the logo below.
