This weekend Will and I got to spend our first Easter together as a married couple. (Though you would think we were married longer considering we woke up and unintentionally wore matching outfits). It was a refreshing day as we gathered with other believers in the morning at Crosspoint and celebrated Jesus Christ our Lord’s resurrection and the implications that that has on believers. In the evening we gathered with several of our friends for Easter dinner for food and fellowship. Will and I also finally got some pictures of ourselves (excuse the fact that we used a tripod and self timer). I’m thankful for the fun we had yesterday but mostly I’m thankful that God sent his son to the cross to die to bear the punishment of our sins. We celebrate this weekend not because it’s just another holiday, but because of Christ’s sacrifice Will and I are forgiven of our sins and brought into God’s family as a son and daughter.
We are the Rogers. We have been married since August and are loving it! Will recently graduated with his PhD in Civil Engineering and I am currently an IT assistant by day and a photographer by night.
