Well Will and I couldn't find an apartment until the week we got married so we were frantically trying to move our crap in and make it livable for him since he had to move out immediately from the place he was in. This is on top of finishing last minute details for the wedding, so the chairs and ottoman made it to the back of our storage room that’s stacked to the ceiling with boxes. Needless to say, they were forgotten.
The other day, I remembered this dejected little set and my goal…So I got to work on the ottoman…
And I enlisted my husband to help me so we would have some quality time together. (He’s really good at this type of stuff).
The goal for today was taking it apart. We first had to take off the feet. We then spent an entire movie of Pirates of the Caribbean taking out the 200+ staples that were in the ottoman (someone really wanted to be thorough...not to mention the type of staples they used were overkill as well)
Then came removing the springs from the top. We plan on converting it into a storage ottoman to keep blankets in it so instead of springs holding up the cushion, we will put a board and hinges on the cushion. But that part is for another day.
