I haven't given any real updates on our move to Atlanta, because there is a lot to update and I didn't know where to start. I figured I would start with one of my favorite parts of Atlanta. Coming from a small town (to say the least) where Will and I have both lived at for the better part of a decade, we had kind of run out of things to do. Even though we had only dated and have been married for two years in Clemson, we were already cycling through some previous date nights. It's important to us to go on at least one date a week to make sure that we are getting some good quality time together. The great thing about Atlanta is that there is so much to do that we don't have to cycle through previous date nights again unless we want to! Here are some of the ones we have been on since we have moved here:
Mini golfing in a pirate ship....the most difficult course I have ever been on
Medieval Times for Will's Birthday. Don't judge us. If we don't do the touristy stuff now, we never will.
The Botanical Garden's Christmas light event
So if you are familiar with my work, you probably know that I like bright, cheery and colorful photographs, and that I rarely post the black and white versions that I edit, but something about Christmas makes me love black and white photos. If you want to see some of the colored versions, I will be including them on facebook, just click the link at the top of my website.
This was a fun photoshoot, despite the cold front that came in causing Andrew to be less than his normal smiley self because I have known the Dentons for such a long time. Tara was one of the first people I met when I started coming to Crosspoint. We have done missions together through SummerLink and she has discipled me for over two years. I met Matt through serving to Media which he handed off to me when I joined G-Link. He was always the serious, thoughful one so I about died laughing several times seeing how goofy and silly he is with his son...I seriously could have done a post on just the funny faces that I caught during the photosession. Its been fun watching them date, get married and have a baby within the last few years.
Almost caught up! This post is short and sweet because its a Christmas mini session! I've enjoyed getting to know the Mintos this past year (though not as much as Will has enjoyed getting to know their dog, Bentley)
For me its as different story...Here's me freaking out when Bentley started running at me...Ha! Its always interesting taking pictures of dogs
Tomorrow is the last catch-up post so stay tuned!
This time Will and I are the photographers and the subjects! Here is our attempt at another tripod photoshoot. Its not easy getting good pictures when you have to push the button on the camera and then run and pose but we are getting better at it! These are pictures at our new home!
More Pictures tomorrow!
Its always fun to take pictures of friends! I was in the same cp group with Bailey and Jesse when they met years ago and then again in the same newlywed group. I've enjoyed seeing them grow into a couple as they are always fun to be around!
More Pictures to come tomorrow!
Just as a reminder, even though we are in Atlanta now, let me know if you are in Clemson and want a photoshoot
Because of moving and then having no internet for a month, I'm a little behind on posting some of the photography that I have done...to say the least. This session was of Jeff and Bonnie and their 9 month old Paige who was happy as could be to be outside and to be the center of attention. They are such a cute family and you can tell that little Paige is at such a fun age! I really enjoyed taking their pictures.
I wanted to announce that even though I will not be putting more resources into advertising in Clemson anymore since we have moved, I will still come back if you want to book me...just let me know!
Stay posted because I have more photo sessions coming tomorrow!
We are the Rogers. We have been married since August and are loving it! Will recently graduated with his PhD in Civil Engineering and I am currently an IT assistant by day and a photographer by night.
