If you've never been on a cruise, then know they are never boring! They always have activities going on, especially on days we are out at sea. One thing we frequently visited was karaoke night because Grey and Will turned out to be microphone hogs :)...sadly Will made me promise not to post any videos or pictures....Tea time (with awesome desserts) also became a favorite as well as the musicals and stand up comedy shows they put on. Will and I went to an art show and bought our first piece of art together. They also had fun classes such as learning how to fold the towel animals that are put in your room every night. And of course we can't forget the pool or the awesome water slides that this cruise had :)
Last week Will and I went on a cruise for our vacation! Will and I had been in cahoots with Becky and Grey to do a big friends vacation before we all settle down and start having kids (no we don't have one on the way but they do!) and also in an effort to keep long distance friendships going. It was so much fun and I hope we can do more in the future. I will try not to overwhelm this post with pics but its hard to describe how beautiful everything is without them. The first one stopped at Nassau. Will's company got us free tickets to Atlantis (very thankful for that because that excursion cost almost $200 a person). Atlantis is an extravagant tourist trap at Nassau that includes beaches, a water park, an aquarium and the hotels and casinos that surround them. We spent most of our time at the water park and caught some sun :) The other port was a tiny private island called Little Stirrup Cay or Coco Cay depending on who you ask. Sadly the coffee on the cruise is horrible so by the time this day rolled around, the lack of caffeine and the heat gave me an awful headache so we didn't stay on the Island long but it was gorgeous! The only sad thing is that the week flew by too quickly! Anyways, that was our cruise in a nutshell!

This past week Will and I went out to California to visit my parents. I hadn't been to Northern CA before and Will got to go even further west then he had ever been. It was fun getting to see my parents new house and where they work. Mom and dad had the week off so we got to visit a lot of interesting places with them. First place we visited was Muir Woods which is where you can find huge redwood trees...thankfully there were no apes :) In case you can't read the numbers, this tree was planted in 909ad and fell in 1930...its kind of crazy how old these trees are We also got to visit San Francisco. We had dinner at the cheesecake factory and I tried the Ghirardelli cheesecake and it was fantastic. We made our way down to pier 39 and saw Alcatraz and all the touristy stuff down there We also went to Yosemite national park. Will and I hiked from the tip of glacier point all the way down to the valley. My legs were killing me for the rest of the trip but the views were beautiful...except for that last mile of the hike that wouldn't end. We also visited the winchester mansion. Sadly we couldn't take pictures inside the house because its quirky. There is a door that if you walk through it, you will fall a story down to the porch, there is a staircase that goes straight up to the ceiling and many other strange things because the woman who built the house was afraid that whenever she stopped building on the house that she would die. That was the majority of our trip. I'm glad we had the chance to visit my family and spent time with them.
