This past Saturday, I was honored to take pictures at Amy and Blake's wedding! While I don't have those pictures edited yet I can finally upload Amy's Bridal Portraits! So in lieu of a wedding sneak peak I'm posting Amy's Bridals! Isn't she such a beautiful bride!

Wedding season part two has begun with three friends weddings in a row. I didn't get to go to Jimbo's wedding last weekend so no pictures...(though if you would like a funny story, ask my husband about how he ran into Jimbo on his honeymoon when my husband was heading back home). This past weekend, Will and I got to go see two of our friends get married. Patrick and Lauren were in our singles cp group for several years with us and I'm so excited we finally got to see them get hitched. I don't think I'll tire of seeing a godly man and woman cut a covenant with God in marriage. I didn't have a great seat at the wedding, so fast forward to the reception. Our old cp group + Jason and Cayce
Congrats to David and Sarah who got hitched on Saturday. They were a couple who joined our church shortly after getting engaged and joined our newlywed cp group to learn from newlyweds before getting married, graduating, and moving on to jobs and their next stage of life. We enjoyed getting to know them this past semester and I look forward to seeing them grow as a couple the next few months before they move away. Here are some of the highlights of their wedding... Its hard to tell but we managed to grab our own cp group block seating at the wedding Funny story...so we were are coctail hour of the reception, hanging out waiting for the party to show up and Laura looked over and this burlap square had caught on fire by one of the chafing dishes...Kelly's maternal instincts suddenly kicked in and she started running to the fire and started fanning it (which kind of made the fire grow more). Luckily its hard to miss a pregnant lady running across the room and then stopping to wave her arms, so she grabbed Ben's attention who rushed over and poured his beer on it and put it out. My husband then retrieved the burlap square and wrapped it as a gift so we could give a group gift to the lucky couple
Congrats to David and Leslie who got married this past Saturday. I've known them for several years now and got to serve on staff with Leslie for a year so it was very exciting to finally see them tie the knot. They had a very sweet ceremony that was very gospel centered. They wrote beautiful vows to each other that proclaimed how marriage is snapshot of Christ and the church. I didn't really take pics at the ceremony because I wasn't in a great seat for taking pictures but here is a little glance at the day. The excitement on their faces all day was so sweet! One of my favorite moments of the day was when David and his mom danced to the Twist for their entire mother/son dance...it was hilarious!
Yesterday I was honored to attend Jon and Meredyth Merkling's wedding. It was such a sweet time of celebration to see these two get hitchified (as my husband would say). When I was roommates with Meredyth a couple of years ago I appreciated getting to see up close how they interacted and had an intentional relationship and one that honored the Lord. So excited for them :)
In my last post I mentioned the wedding, but nothing about the reception. We had it at the Vault in Seneca, SC. It was a blast! We had our friends, Brett and Megan Stripe give a dance lesson while the party was taking pictures. We had everyone take pictures in a photobooth in lieu of a guest book which produced some humorous results. Here are some of our favorites The best part is, because of the dance lesson, when Will and I got there, we had our first dance and the parent dance...and then we were able to lead everyone to dinner so we got to eat! I feel as if that was a pretty good accomplishment since that was the number one thing people said we wouldn't get to enjoy at the wedding. We then got to party the evening away before leaving...it was a lot of fun!
Hey friends, So this time I plan to update the blog more often. Todays post…Mawwage, is what bwings people togeva to-day…or in my case, a month ago. Will and I have been married for a month and a day. I’m so thankful to be married to such a wonderful man who loves the Lord, pursues me, loves me, and leads me. It is truly God’s grace that I have been given a wonderful husband. On another note, I’m so excited because we have started to get back photos from our photographers. Since I haven’t shared at all about the wedding, here is a visual recap of the wedding :) yay for weddings because in the end they lead to a new marriage!
